Karen Fehrenbach is currently a Michigan licensed Private Investigator and is the Proprietor of Indigo Investigations. The company performs fraud investigations, skip tracing, process service, and a full range of notary public duties. Karen started Indigo Investigations after retirement from her 26-year career with the Drug Enforcement Administration. As a Special Agent Karen excelled in the investigation of complex conspiracy cases and undercover work. Karen’s DEA tenure included assignments in Florida, Arizona, Puerto Rico, and Arkansas, as well as Central and South America. Prior to being recruited into the DEA in 1987, she obtained her BA in Criminology and her MA in Counseling from Eastern Michigan University, and worked as a fraud investigations supervisor.
Karen is a member of many professional organizations, to include the Association of Federal Narcotics Agents, the Federal Law Enforcement Officers Association, the Michigan Council of Private Investigators, and the Michigan Court Officers and Deputy Sheriffs Association. She is FEMA certified to conduct disaster response activities and is proficient in the Spanish language. Karen is a strong supporter of organizations that focus their efforts on the welfare of children, the elderly, and animals.
